Without the moon to blame
I stay behind feeling devoid
and drained of feelings, numb
An empty desert where the sea used to be
A force unknown stole them away
And the only thing left to do is waiting
Someday they will all came back
But the moon isn't to blame.

Slowly at first the water returns
Sneaking hidden in the mud
As treacherous streams
Strong and faster than they seem
Waves crush against the shore
Peace and tranquillity are gone
Chaos rules where void had been
When slowly the water returns

Up and down, up and down it goes
A dance of forces we can't see
How could I blame the moon
Dragging water back and forth
How could I blame the rain
Pouring from leaden autumn skies
I cannot stop the tides outside
I cannot stop the tides within
For the monthly bounty at :iconnavigatorsofthemist:

It's not good, but eh, all other attempts were even worse
