39. DreamI had a wonderful dream last night
And now I desperately fight
Not to forget anything of it
But I keep loosing bit by bit
I am digging in the desert's sand
try to catch water with my hand
But the more and the harder I try
The faster the water trickles away
With the water the dream does comply
And my memories slowly decay

Is it my turn yet?I know the thought of seeing you some day
Might be, to some, a bit too cliché
But I know that when I finally find you
You're the only one I'll ever look to

One day, maybe soon, you'll take my hand
And take me on a long walk in the sand
And then we'll go dancing in the rain
Then you'll take me and kiss away my pain

You'll ensure that I have nothing to fear
I will be known to you as honey or dear
Someday, our paths shall run together
With you, there is nothing I cannot weather

A tale of woeLend me your ear for this tale I have to tell
Though I'm not a bard I'll try to tell it well
For your time I offer you of my words many
But it's up to you to believe of them any

I will tell of a man and Brock was his name
He had a strong son who was named just the same
Oh what dreadful tragedy arose from this fact
When the father killing of the son does enact

But let me tell you how the story began
Once upon a time there was a poor young man
He had no family but a heart made of gold
One day he met a woman her body she sold

He loved her despite the fact she was a whore
Still she lied to him about the child she bore

All the names I can read there

Did they witness the historic events?

I know nothing about them
Except for names and dates
I was told they were thralls,
Craftsmen and peasants

But who have they been?
Did they dream of other lives?
Were they artists or rebels at heart?
Or content with the life they had?

Had some been to war?
Or died due to a crime?
Were they strong in faith?
Were they naive or smart?

Had they been good parents
Or toublesome children?
Did they marry out of love

Healing HugsLaying in the bed,
I listen to the moans.
The sound of the dying.

The shadows hide me,
So I can be alone.
Try to take care of myself.
To get myself back to my feet.

It's not a sickness,
or a wound,
But a blow to the heart.

The shattered hearts laying on the floor,
surrounded by the pieces of souls.
Tread on by the visitors,
Only caring about their own.

I watch the world go by,
As I lay here,
Frozen in time.

We are ants infesting a house,
A flea eating a mouse.

Where will we be in a few hundred years?

Will we be in tiny boxes living useless fears?
Will we be in the ground, never to be found?

Will you be remembered, for who you use to be?

Perhaps by a few, but never truly by me,
For how am I to know, someone I've never seen?

Time has flown by, it's to late for you and me.

Why do you live, when time will soon blink,
and you will be gone, faster then you think?

15. SilenceIt is said silence would be golden
And talking would be silver
Close your eyes, pretend to be blind
Listen to the world: what do you find?
Screams of advertisement polluting our ears
Unbearable hollow noise and words
Just once, I beg them all to "Shut up!"
So there is nothing but golden silence

Talk is silver, silence is golden
I still wonder if it's true
When we don't talk and simply share
Our own loneliness with each other
Everything is said, still I choke on words
But I can't silver our golden state
Please talk to me, please, please talk to me
Speech is silver and silence is poison

IThere is a certain word
Overused, too often heard
It's so simple and small
Thinnest of the letters all
Yet it's meaning, what a contrast
The gab between them is so vast
They could not be any less alike
The speaker uses it to strike,
to be the center of everything
It's overused one may think
It's impossible to avoid its use
and also very hard to reduce
And it makes me wonder: "Why
is it so diffucult not to say 'I'?"

Please ... Don't ...The sun's shining and the sky is clear
and you wish that you weren't here
Anymore, no part of this world, of this life
You're trapped in darkness and the way out
Of it is death, there's no doubt
But the alluring whispers of the sharp knife

When you drive in your car down the road
You dream of your last abode
And your eyes search for a tree to crash into
Every bridge's a chance to jump down
Each river tempts you to drown
In it, you climb high buildings not for the view

How can I make you stay here with me
When you try so hard to flee
From life's pain and the darkness and the sorrow?
Still I'm begging at your feet to stay

The Tale Of The Little RobotIn a land far far away there was a scientist. This scientist was very curious. He nearly knew everything about every thing in the universe. But there was one question he couldn't answer himself. So he built a computer. It wasn't small or pretty, but that did not bother the scientist. The computer should only be able to do one thing. He should answer the question the scientist could not. The when the computer was started, he asked it: "What is the sense of life?" The computer made no sound but several lights started flickering. The scientist was patient, so he waited.
Time passed by and the scientist still waited.

PuppetOnce upon a time there was a small toy shop. I was none of those little cramped shops which suddenly appear and set the start for a wonderful adventure. No, this one was a plain and ordinary shop. Average would be the best word to describe it. Everything in it was average. Its size was average. The teddy bears, the baby dolls, the toy planes, ships and vehicles, the action figures and games. Everything was just average. The shopkeeper wasn't more friendly or more grim than any other shopkeeper in the whole world. He was an average shopkeeper.

I sense there's something wrong despite
She hides sorrow with smiles so bright
And though I try so very hard
Can't lift the burden from her heart
How can his words induce this pain?

And does he notice the hurt he caused her?
And will he hear the words she cannot say?
I think I ought to tell

How will this end for my dear friend?
How will this sad love one day end?
Although the feelings are in place
Tears keep streaming down her face
Which I try to dry in vain

Oh, will we ever from hurting deter?
Oh, how I pray for joy to come one day

You know... reading this poem made me think of "A Nightmare Before Christmas" so I think you hit that on the nail. I think this is a very good poem and oddly enough I find it easy to relate to. Great job.

It's beautiful, and it goes to the melody of that song so well. I even tried singing it like that, it fits almost perfectly, though that might have been me misremembering notes...
