Meanwhile, Sparky, Latte and Allana searched for the missing assassin. Aisuru had successful covered his tracks, so the only trace they had were the disabled traps they found.
It was already past noon when Allana suddenly changed into a lynx and listened intensely. The jungle was filled with the noise of birds and insects of all kinds, but still Allana must have heard something different. She then made her way through the forest, the other two pirates on her heels resp. paws.
Soon they reached a huge tree and Allana changed back into a human.
Above them hung a filled net made of tendrils. On the ground Sparky noticed a familiar weapon.
"Aisuru!", she shouted, but only some bird flew ways.
"I will take a look.", Allana said and in the shape of a hummingbird, she examined the net. As soon as she was human again, she said: "Aye, it's Aisuru. But he seems to be asleep or worse."
"How can we get him down?", Latte wondered.
"Just cut the net, of course!", Sparky wanted to say, but then... the net was really high.
"We need someone to catch him.", she said instead.
"Right! But who?", Allana asked
"Ohh, I know! We'll ask Stone!", Sparky cheered.
So the three girls hurried back to the camp as fast as they could and also left small marks to find the way back.

When they reached the lake, the camp was already built up. The three were soon surrounded by the crew.
"Be ye bringing good news?", Chenbeard asked as soon as he spotted them.
"We found him, but we need Stone's help to get him."
Aslansa had heard it and almost immediately, Stone appeared.
"Bring me to him!", he said.
Chenbeard had to order most of the crew to stay behind at the camp, naturally everybody was worried about the assassin or at least curious what situation he was in.
"Arr, me hearties. Me knows ye all want to see Aisuru, but this jungle be dangerous. So ye all stay except for Aslansa , Stone, Ferderic and this three ladies ta lead us.", he said. The answer was a mutter of discontent, but there were no open objections.

Within a couple of hours, the seven pirates returned to the tree from which the assassin's prison was hanging.
Without difficulties the net was cut and Stone caught the assassin's body. He was unconscious.
"What is wrong with him?", the Captain asked and dropped his pirate accent.
Frederic examined Aisuru as good as it was possible in this environment.
"I zink he's poisoned.", the doctor finally stated. "He is alive, but heavily sedated. In fact, his state is almost comatose. If we're lucky ze effect will wear off wizin ze next days."
"And if we aren't?", Latte asked worriedly.
"We will have to find an antidote before he dies of zirst.", the doctor said gravely.
For a while, nobody said a word.
"Let's get him back to the camp.", Chenbeard finally decided.

Back at the camp, the pirates were relaxing from work and soon clustered.
Dylan was quite surprised as the black angel Patience came to him. He had seen him on the ship, but never had any business with him.
"Uhm...", Patience began, "I heard they call you the peacemaker."
"Aye, ye heard right. But I don't know who ye be.", Daylan said, trying to speak with pirate accent.
"My name is Patience. I am .... the protector of Angel."
"I didn't even know she needs one. Anyway, what do ye want from me?" Dylan asked friendly.
"I.. need your help. I have had a nasty fight wih Lady Riddle. I said something I shouldn't have."
"Then ye should go and apologize."
"She won't listen to me."
Dylan scratched his chin and dropped the accent.
"That's...  bad", he said carefully. "As far as I know her, she is quite forgiving. You must have pissed her off pretty badly, man."
"I said something I shouldn't have.", Patience repeated.
"I never thought it's even possible to insult her. Maybe you should be more careful about your words then. They can be stronger weapons than any blade."
Patience took the words in.
"May I ask you for a favour?", he asked after a long pause.
"What is it?"
"Would you tell her I'm sorry?"
Dylan sighed.
"Aye. But I can't promise anything." The peacemaker finally said.
"Thank you.", Patience answered and as he left, he felt a strange warm feeling within himself.

Dylan sighed once more and went over to Lady Riddle.
"Hi Riddle.", he greeted.
"Dylan. What a nice surprise." she smiled.
"I've heard you have had a fight.", Dylan began.
"It's nothing, really."
"I was told otherwise."
"Who told you?", Riddle asked more sharply as she had intended to.
"That doesn't matter right now. But whatever happened, it would be best for all of us if the matter is resolved quickly, don't you agree?"
"Patience sent you, didn't he?"
"Whatever is going on between the both of you is not my business. Still, I have to say you surprise me, Riddle. Holding a grudge is not your way of dealing with things."
"I will talk with him.", Riddle gave in. She hadn't expected Patience to ask Dylan for help and it would be childish to communicate via messengers who should stay uninvolved anyway.

The angel was sitting alone at the lake, staring into the water.
"Patience.", Riddle said coldly, standing next to him.
"You wanted to talk? Fine, here I am. Talk."
"Look, Ridle, I am sorry for what I said. Now I know I shouldn't have."
Patience turned and stood up.
"Oh, you know now? Great. 'I didn't know' seems to be your apology for everything you do, doesn't it?", Riddle snapped.
"I am really sorry. I didn't mean to hurt you."
"But yes, you did. That's how fights work. That's how they end.", Riddle gave back, stressing the last word.
"So you forgive me?"
"No. I can't. Not yet.", she said and added: "Oh and one more thing: there is no reason to involve anybody else in this."
She then left Patience alone at the lake.
