"Storm ahead!", Lyra yelled and quickly left the crow's nest.
Right in front of the ship was a dark wall of clouds and it came nearer.
Lyra had just reached the deck when the whole sky was of a deep lead-gray. Soon a heavy wind arose and churned up the sea. "Everybody, secure the deck!", the co-captain yelled.
The wind grew stronger the sails tried to break free fromt the masts.
"Strike the sails!", Hayes shouted and quickly Blake, Lorién, Zoey, Dan, Aisuru and Vampire Tails climbed in the rigging.
"Watch out!" Blake shouted before a rope flew apart with a crack. The lose end hit him  in the face, leaving a bloody streak.
"Quickly, cut the ropes!" Dan yelled and soon the first sail flapped in the wind, trying desperatley to leave the ship.
"Dash it all, what are you doing?!", Chenbeard shouted, but his voice did not reach the six pirates high above him.
With a loud thwack, another rope was torn apart and flogged furiously through the air.
Luckily, nobody was hit this time, but now the mast began to groan and shake as the ship began to rock in the high waves.
The six pirates quickly cut lose the lower ends of the other sail. Both were now fluttering in the storm, trying to get free. Before more ropes snapped and hit them, Blake, Zoey, Aisuru, Vampire Tails and Lorién climbed back on the deck. The scwertmeister's wound bleeded heavily, but the blood was soon washed away as heavy rain began pouring down.
"What is going on here?", Kris yelled at Sarah Grace while holding on to the railing.
The wind nymph tried her best to calm the wind down, but to her surprise the wind didn't obey her.
"I don't know", she shouted back.
The ship rolled and pitched as the waves got higher and higher.
"Caution!", Blake shouted out as a huge wave flooded the deck.
"Everyone, go below!", The captain barked. He was standing at the steering wheel, this grip so tight his knuckles turned white.
The bow of the Sangue-Padre crushed through a wave and the foam soaked him wet.

Below the deck there was havoc. Most of the torches were doused before they could cause a fire. The remaining lanterns swayed, the unpredictable movements of the ship provided no firm footing.
Everything what wasn't attached rolled over the ground and Abbey was screaming in the kitchen as all cupboards emptied their contents. As quickly as they could she and Finn left and shut the door tightly behind them. The chef's arm was bleeding.
"Abbs! Fin! What happened? Are you alright?", Linda spotted them and tried to make her way over to the chef and the child.
"The knives... ", was the only thing the chef could gasp.
A loud crash was heard and an army of wooden chairs and tables moved towards the them.
"The tables! We need to secure them!", Erik shouted and tried to stop his furniture attackers.

In Angel's cabin, the seraph was fighting with Paticence who would not let her go.
"Patience move, I need to get out there and see if they need my help." Angel yelled at him.
"No it is to dangerous. I am here to protect you and keep you safe."
"I didn't ask for your help nor do I need your protection. I can take care of myself." she hissed at him.
"Angel please...listen to me this once." Patience said sternly while blocking her way.
"I don't need your help! Now move, my friends need me."
"If you could take care of yourself you would have never gotten in that situation before."
Angel's eyes narrowed. " Don't go there Patience."
"Why, it is the truth. You got yourself raped and beaten and nearly lost yourself to the darkness that lives inside you."
"Stop Patience..." Angel's words got softer.
"No. I will not stop. You will listen to me Angel." Patience grabbed her upper arm and held on tightly. "Angel, I care so much about you and I don't want to see you get hurt."
Unpleasant memories started rushing through Angels mind as she felt Patience grab her. "Let me go!"
"No Angel, not until I get through to you" His hand tightened a little. "I will not let you go out there and get hurt or worse: killed" He tried to pull her closer, into a hug.
"Let! Me! Go!!" Angel screamed and pushed him away from her. His nails ripped through her shirt as he flew backwards. "Don't ever touch me again!" Angels eyes turned white and she ran out of the hallway into the storm.

Riddle was about to leave the crew quarters and made her way for the cabins. After she was almost knocked out by one of Crystal's books taking a flight, she decided it was to dangerous there. She met Katelynn, Kalixa and Leeelu at the stairs.
"Far too dangerous down there!", the craftswomen told her.
"It's not much better up here.", Riddle answered while trying not to stumble.
"But here are no hammers.", Katelynn decided and she, Kalixa and Leelu staggered away from the stairs, while Riddle went up.
She had reached the upper end when she saw a pair of red wings leaving for the deck.
The door slammed shut and it was hard to tell if it was done by Angel or the storm. Her cabin door was still open and so Riddle noticed Patience mumbling "... stubborn for her own good!". She followed Angel.
When she opened the door, another wave crushed on the deck, soaking her wet and the howling wind threw cold water drops into her face that stung like little icy needles. Luckily the dinghies and cannons on deack were already secured.
Riddle tried to make her way to the ship's bow, but somebody held her back.
"Where are you going, crazy one?", Nemo shouted at her. Scratch took his chance and left his hiding place under Riddle's hat.
"Good question. I don't want to get out there."
"Angel!", Riddle yelled back and pointed with one hand towards the bow.
Nemo shouted something, but in the howling of wind, thunder of waves and moaning of the ship, she was only able to understand the word "insane". He let her go and ran towards the bow himself. Riddle only saw he was carrying something but then another wave flooded the deck and he was gone.
"Nemo!", she shrieked and hurried to the railing. He was nowhere to be seen.
"Scheiße!", was the only thing that filled Riddle's mind. As she stared into the wet darkness around her, in the muffled light, she could see a crimson scheme.
Angel was flying low, pushed down by the storm. She was not high above the water, which suddenly turned out to be a trough of the sea. The panic choked Riddle as the wave peak drew closer to Angel.
There was no way she could avoid it and then, the wave swallowed the seraph.
"Angel!", Riddle cried out and tears ran down her wet face.
Then suddenly her mind was emptied and her body acted on its own. Ignoring Scratch beside her, Her dagger cut the lacing of her corset and only barely she noticed Scratch fething it, her hat and the red sash before they were blown away. The rope she always used when swimming was still attached to the railing near her.
She heard the demon's voice, but didn't understand a word. She quickly got out of her boots and with the rope in her hand, she jumped into the outraged sea.

Patience is such an annoyance...

But this story part is great. I must read more to see what happens next!
