Frederic had just finished checking on Angel and giving her another dosage of medication. He noticed that she was more quiet than usual as he examined her.
“Angel, what is wrong?” , he asked. She turned and looked at the doctor.
“I am fine.” She said with a small  smile.
“You can’t fool me. I know you aren’t”, he replied. Angel looked down at the bandages on her arms and the splints keeping them in place.
“This is what is wrong. I can’t do anything. I can’t even dress myself, pet my wolves and...I can’t fly!”, she then sighed.
Frederic stood there silent. He knew she needed to get this out. He had actually expected it.
“Yet what is worse...I...I...see it happening over and over again in my mind. I don’t like the way it makes me feel.” She said softly.
“How does it make you feel?” He asked her in a soothing voice.
Angel looked up at him, “Scared....” She whispered. “All of this scares me.”
Frederic was tempted to say it was going to be okay, but knew not to because it wasn’t. Angel turned her head away from him and looked back out the port window.
“Thank you, but I think I want to be alone now”, she then said.
The doctor nodded as she leaned back and began cleaning up anch backing his back. When he left the room and nearly bumped into Aslansa. Angel saw him and her eyes narrowed a bit.
“What do you want here?”, she asked. “I don’t need your pity because you think I’m weak”
Aslansa walked in and closed the door gently behind him. He frowned at Angel’s words and sighed:
“Angel, I don’t pity you nor do I think you are weak.”
“Great. that’s why you told the whole crew what’s wrong with me?”
“Look, I came in here because I wanted to heal you. I don’t want to fight with you”, he said as he sat in the chair next to her bed.
Angel stared at him for a moment, not sure of what to say.
“I don’t want to fight either.” She finally muttered, looking down again. “I never wanted to, but you shouldn’t have done that.”
Aslansa reached out his hand but placed it back on his lap, “We both have made errors, Angel. I...am sorry.” He said sincerely.
She looked up at him a bit surprised to hear an apology. She searched his eyes for a moment and then gave him a smile: “I am too.”
She took a deep breath and began: “So tell me more about this healing. Will it fix me so I can use my arms and hands...and... fly again?”
Aslansa shook his head, replying: “You could heal like that,  Angel. The most I can do is more painful and less effective. I can mend your broken bones and  repair the hurt muscles. but every restored fiber will hurt.”
Angel sighed softly before, nodding her head. “I will do it.”
“Be careful,  Angel. The process will  make you will feel everything.”
“Federic can give me something...” she began, but Aslansa shook  his head.
“That won’t work. I will also have to hold back the darker side of you as well.”
Angel looked at him confused
“Since I had this collar on, I thought I was safe from that? Besides, she and I ought to be in harmony or so I was told”, she said.
“The pain you are going to feel will cause it to rise and flair. I only say this because I have seen it before”
“I dont’ care Aslansa. I need to do this. I can’t stay in this bed any longer! We will do this.”, Angel added taking a deep breath.
He nodded his head. “Okay. Still, I will need help to keep you fixed and  start getting things ready.”
He began to rise from the chair, when Angel looked  at him,
“Please stay until I fall asleep” She asked and gave him a warm smile as her eyes began to close.
“Of course, I will”, Aslansa smiled back and sat back down. He watched her until Angel’s breathing became soft and steady.
“I will be back.” He said quietly and left out the room.

Aslansa quickly went through the ship to find some people to help him. Mending a bone or two wouldn't be too bad as long as Angel was still able to control her powers. Without her powers it was going to hurt her more and she was bound to lash out and move around because of the pain. Aslansa's healing was more of a forced hyper-regeneration and moving could cause the bones to grow back the wrong way.
Soon enough he found what he was looking for. A small group of pirates was standing around on deck near Angel's favorite spot.
"Aisuru, Zane can I have a word?", Aslansa asked.
The two turned to him and nodded.
"What’s the matter?" Zane asked while Aisuru just watched.
"I need some help healing Angel. I need you to make sure she doesn't move around too much. Otherwise the healing could go wrong."
Reaper, who was nearby, stepped into the group his eyes already showing his disdain for the plan.
"So you want them to help you hold her down? Brilliant idea. It's not like that's going to end badly", he said, sarcasm lining every word.
Aslansa turned to him with a dull glare and rolled his eyes.
"I know she won't like it, but she asked me to help her with this. If you don't like it, take it up with her." the demon said before turning back to the two he orignally started the conversation with. "So? Are you two willing to help?"
“I think I will do just that.” Reaper snapped. Just as he as he was about to leave, a hand was placed on his shoulder.
Don’t. when this is what she wants, lets just be there to help her.”, Aisuru said.
Reaper frowned but remained silent as Aslansa continued to talk. Zane nodded quickly but Aisuru looked between Reaper and Aslansa before he agreed to help. Reaper rolled his eyes at them and scoffed: "I'll be coming as well. I can't just leave her to you."
Aslansa growled lowly as Reaper slipped into the shadows and moved towards Angel's room. When the three pirates went to the doorway leading back into the hull, Lady Riddle and Sparky blocked their way.
"What's going on? the trickster asked as she looked at Aslansa solely. "And what does it have to do with Angel?”
“Don’t you have to prepare for a race, Riddle?”Alsansa gave back. The trickster was about to say something when Sparky interrupted:
“Stop! Both of you! I’m sick of this constant fighting. One day! By the flames, one day without a fight, is this too much to ask for? You aren’t the only one worrying about Angel, got that? Now, Wizard-Boy, what is going on and Fiddle: don’t assume the worst. Alrighty? Wonderful. And now, you two owe me cookies.”, Sparky bursted out. Riddle and Aslansa looked sheepishly at each other and almost simultaniously said: “Sorry...”
“Actually, I’ll need your help.” Aslansa then said.
“With what Wizard-boy?” Sparky eyes lit up with interest.
"Healing Angel." He said simply. Riddle and Sparky both looked surprised for a moment before they nodded joined Alsansa to  Angel's room.  Reaper was waiting next to the door, his arms folded across his chest. He arched his eyebrows upon seeing Riddle and Sparky,
“So you agree with this? Did  he explain what he’s going to put her through in order to heal her?”
Riddle gave a small wary glare to Aslansa and said: "He didn't tell us everything it seems."
"No more fights, FIddle! We are supposed to  trust each other!" Sparky exclaimed, bringing a somberness to the group.
Reaper sucked his teeth and opened the door and entered Angel’s cabin.
““Fine...”he muttered under his breath as he walked over to the bed.
“I don’t like this.” He whispered to Angel,  “But I am here regardless.” His voice was low enough so no one else could hear him. Then he turning to the others,
“Okay lets get this over with”
“What exactly do you need us to do?” Riddle asked Aslansa.
"Well I need Zane and Aisuru to help hold her down. She may not have her powers but, she's stll got her strength. Riddle and Sparky can help try to keep her focused on the present so she doesn't go into a panic attack", he answered ignoring Reaper just to spite him.
“I doubt having her restrained is a good idea... at least not by a male - no offense guys”, the trickster muttered.
“Do you have a better idea then?”, Aslansa asked wearily.
“I know Yvonne is strong”
“But Angel won’t recognize her face as fast as ours”, Zane said.
“But it will be a female. Seriously, after all what happened to her, we need to avoid everything that could causey a flashback”
“As you wish” Aslansa sighed. “Can you get Yvonne then?”

Not much later, the trickster returned with the bard. On their way to angel’s cabin, Riddle had explained the whole situation, so when they arrived, Yvonne nodded at the others and placed herself next to angel, Carefully placing her hands on Angel’s wrists.
“Someone will need to hold her shoulders and maybe a third hold her upper arms. Riddle, Sparky, come here. This way she only sees us faces and not the guys”, the half barbarian said and everybody did as she said. Aisuru and Zane healed her by the ankles. Reaper stood by her bed and watched carefully what Aslansa was doing. He was ready encase this went wrong.
“Ready?”, Aslansa asked. The other pirates nodded.
“1 .. 2.. 3..”, the half demon counted and summoned  the darkness to heal Angel.
It floated through the bandages inside her body and then she screamed out. It was loud and almost animalistic. Riddle wasn’t sure if it was because of what she heard or what she saw, but suddenly she was sure to feel the same way as her friend. She  squinted her eyes shut and clenched her teeth, but quickly, the pain became to intense.
“STOP!”, she yelleded out and as the pain slowly faded, the trickster gasped and let go off Angel. On both glistened sweat.
“What’s wrong?”, Aslansa asked.
“I... felt it...all of it ...”, Riddle answered slowly and the demon frowned.
“And that just so happened right now?”, Reaper asked unfriendly. The trickster glared at him.
“I have no idea what this is or why this happens, alright?. Sometimes, I feel her emotions or pain, that’s all”, she gave back. With a snort, Reaper dropped the topic.
“So we can’t heal her?”, Sparky wondered.
“We just need to work slower or fill me up with pain killers”, Riddle said and got back at Angel’s side.
“As you say”, Alsansa nodded and summoned the darkness again.
“You’re such a fool...”, Reaper muttered, but nobody heard him or listened. The whole day was filled with Angel’s and Riddle’s painful screams, stopping and starting over and over. The sun was setting again when it they were finally finsihed. The pain Angel felt was strong enough to force her to keep her eyes shut all the time. Now that everything was over and the infusions of darkness stopped, she opened her eyes again. She looked around at  the gathered pirates, who smiled back at her. Only Riddle was missing. she had passed out close to the end and was brought into her cabin during a short break. Eight scratched were left on Angel’s upper arms, where the trickster had hold her. Since nobody had noticed them yet, they hadn’t be healed.
Angel tried to say something but couldn’t. She was to exhausted and sore from it all.
“You need to sleep now.” Reaper said and ensured everybody else left the room. He gently placed a finger on her forhead. “Sleep,” and then faded into the shadows. Only her wolves were left in the room.
