A house so splendid and fine
A house you proudly call "Mine"
Yet I spy with my little eye ...
But behind the facade: rotten wood
Skeletons in closets shut for good
At heart you are oh so pure
The just's sleep is your's for sure
But still my little eye does spy...
Do you have sweet dreams, my dear, at night
While you did leave me with hurt and fright?
A gentleman and a sir
You believe that's what you are
And I hear with my little ear...
All of the silent cries you blocked out
So long you don't even hear me shout
Keep pretending, go ahead
Yet your secret still isn't dead
I'm alive and won't disappear
A haunting ghost I don't want to be
I rather take the life you owe me
A house you proudly call "Mine"
Yet I spy with my little eye ...
But behind the facade: rotten wood
Skeletons in closets shut for good
At heart you are oh so pure
The just's sleep is your's for sure
But still my little eye does spy...
Do you have sweet dreams, my dear, at night
While you did leave me with hurt and fright?

You believe that's what you are
And I hear with my little ear...
All of the silent cries you blocked out
So long you don't even hear me shout
Keep pretending, go ahead
Yet your secret still isn't dead

A haunting ghost I don't want to be
I rather take the life you owe me

Damp Matches
Damp matches strike a very solemn spark
and solid wax overflows a tsunami
into crusted eyes.
Bringing flame alive is a chemical reaction
of heart and soul fusing
from stick to head.
The empty box, one last match left to die
suffer no oxygen and flicker last light
unto darkness.
Leaving a pile of lonely tinder.

A Treasure In You
A Treasure in You
You took off your mask,
and bared it all,
Showing a side of you,
That some have never seen before,
Trust and honesty, loyalty and heart,
That is what I have found in you,
Something so rare and beautiful
This is why I will treasure
the words you said this day,
For no masks were involved,
No persona's in play,
Just two people talking,
Being honest from the heart
So from me to you,
I thank you for this gift,
I will treasure it always,
A special moments like this,
For I will look back and know
without a doubt,
That I have a Guardian Angel,
Looking out for my heart...
That is why I will tru

Dying From Love
Dying From Love
His sweet words touched her heart
Now it is bleeding and torn apart
His gentle touch as he held her hand
Now it is empty as a barren land
His tender kiss across her lips
Ignited something deep within
Now they are parched and dry
Craving moisture that he would provide
He caressed her heart with his love
Now it is screaming from the pain
Dying slowly as she cries in the rain

This is great. I love the style, it is very intelligent yet simple, if that makes sense.
