Somehow surviving Ragnarök, Skadi has spent a great amount of the past time in the Scandinavian wilderness. She was nothing than a sharp wind among the snowy mountains, or a stranger helping out people in needs (rare, but it did happen). She was aware people still passed on the old tales about the norse gods, which is probably the reason why she didn't ceased to exist after the last battle. When she heard other gods were walking among the humans, Skadi decided to do the same to prevent fading from existence entirely. Even in her secluded way of life, she could no longer deny the changes around her.
